Burr Shoes began as a sight specific project in the home of sculptor Tom Burr. The artist’s residence was also a community art center in the Lower East Side, the pictures above are from Gavlak Gallery. The photographed shoes belonged to Mr. Burr, they are pictured with shelf-liner contact paper backdrops. The objects are C prints mounted on painted wood.
